- Tournament organisers, please provide full tournament details (eg entry form) at least four months in advance of each tournament. NZCF reserve the right to remove tournaments from the calendar if this guideline is not met.
NZCF Junior events
NZCF New Zealand Interschools page. Events just for juniors include the New Zealand Interschools Championships - qualifying events are held in schools and other locations around the country. Consult your local chess club for details, or email the Interschools Coordinator Bob Smith, e-mail caissa1530@gmail.com. Schools please note that only official NZCF Interschools qualifying events generate qualifiers for the New Zealand Interschools National Finals.

Summit Rookie/Junior Rapid

Organised by the Summit Chess Club
Summit Rapid 2023 schedule will be 5th February, 5th March, 2nd April, 7th May, 11th June, 16th July, 13th August, 10th September, 15th October, and 10th December. These are 10 monthly rapid 15+5 tournaments, played from 1 to 5.30pm in the afternoon on a Sunday. Two grades, U1800 (Open) and U1000 (Junior).
